Season 13

A Pathway Performance | Sugar & Salt (2020)

Set in the living museum at the Alaska Botanical Garden in Anchorage, Alaska,  Momentum Dance Collective and The Forest That Never Sleeps come together for a performance that brings a love story of human experience to life. Kat Moore’s beautiful melodies and lyrics will transport you to the intersection of experiences universally familiar and uniquely personal. The dancers of Momentum Dance Collective move with a physicality that is powerful, relatable and honest, weaving individuality and nuance into the story of Moore’s melodies.  Originally designed for a stage performance in April 2020 and reimagined for our current climate, we hope to capture and share this moment in time with you.

Imagined and structured to be viewed from any location, we have designed two methods of viewing this performance; in-person or virtually.  There will be four in-person performances, with health & safety precautions in place to keep audience & performers safe.  Masks will be required by all audience members, and the viewing pathway is structured so that the audience can be spread out and not congregated in any particular zone for optimal physical distancing and in observance of safety recommendations.  For our audience who want to attend in-person but have elevated health concerns or risks, we will offer a special time slot with limited tickets and extra precautions in place for our Saturday, early-bird show.  Virtual performance will be coordinated and produced by Jensen Hall Creative and be available via livestream link on the day and time of the performance.
