Stephanie Stepp

Stephanie is a homegrown Alaskan who began dancing as a toddler. She spent her youth training and performing with Dance Spectrum Alaska and Alaska Dance Theatre during which time she took part in guest artist workshops and attended Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.
During her freshman year of college, she performed with the Western Washington University dance department and was selected to perform in a featured guest artist's piece; as a department member, she also performed in the community as part of dance education for local youth. After transferring to Northeastern University in Boston, she performed and choreographed for the Northeastern University Dance Company for two seasons. She also performed with a local jazz company, Rainbow Tribe, during which time she traveled to New York City to attend classes by Wade Robson and Brian Friedman, among others.
Since returning to Anchorage, she has performed with TAU in Jesus Christ Superstar and Cabaret, the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, UAA's New Dances, The Light Brigade in Transitions and Over Beyond Across Through, Spenard Jazz Fest, and in various other small projects. She joined Momentum in 2012 and is grateful for the opportunity to work with such an incredible and diverse group of artists.
