Oliviah Meneses

Oliviah Meneses is a lifelong Alaskan whose first introduction to the theatre was through musicals. Her mother noticed her intense interest and registered her for classes as a young toddler at Dance Spectrum Alaska. Throughout her childhood, she performed in Music and Dance Machine, The Nutcracker, and various productions with Alaska Theatre of Youth. While modern and pop-jazz are her current focus, she has explored different styles of jazz, belly dancing, ballet, and burlesque throughout her dance career. Other notable performances include Penny Arcade’s B!D!FW! in 2011.

In 2019 she graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Theatre with a Dance Emphasis. During her time as a UA Scholar recipient UAA she was a member of Dance Ensemble for 3.5 years. She also had the experience of attending two American College Dance Association conferences in Boston (2014) and Long Beach (2015). Her time at UAA solidified her passion for modern dance and she thanks Brian Jeffrey and Katherine Kramer for their mentorship.

After graduating in 2019, Oliviah auditioned for Momentum Dance Collective, and she is incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such thoughtful, supportive, and talented artists. When she is not with her Momentum family, you can find her training or performing on dance trapeze and lyra with Aerial View Studio or as a core performer with Sweet Cheeks Cabaret.
