I paint abstractly and intuitively in acrylic paint, also using inks, watercolors, and papers.  I strive to access emotional landscapes.  These interior landscapes are influenced by my experience of nature, the walks where I marvel at the beauty of the world, the sun on my skin, sometimes the stinging winter wind on my face, the wheel of the year turning, the hours spent observing light and life.  

Painting with this connection to the natural world, layering different pigments, playing with many colors and materials, making marks makes evident my place in this world.  I hope these paintings evoke emotions and understandings in others.
